DR. DERMOT POWER - SENIOR CARE

Dr. Power graduated in 1991 from UCD and undertook Intern and SHO training at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Dublin. While initially pursuing a career in General Practice, he finally settled on a specialist career in Geriatric Medicine, undertaking further specialist training in the MMUH and at the John Radcliffe Hospital and Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford. He undertook an MD thesis project with Professor Hugh Brady at UCD and was awarded his doctorate in 2002. His special interests are in dementia, health service planning and medical ethics.
