Charter Medical have opened a sexual health clinic located in Smithfield. This discreet walk-in service offers full sexual health screens and emergency contraception 5 days a week Monday to Friday.

Once you arrive at Charter Medical please go straight to the 3rd floor where our admin team will mark your arrival.

What Does a Sexual Health Screen involve??

A blood sample will be tested for H.I.V and Syphilis
A urine sample will be tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea
Patients are advised not to pass urine for 2 hours before the screen in order to attain the optimal urine sample for testing.

Can I get the morning after pill?

Emergency Contraception is available 5 days a week Monday to Friday 9.00am until 5.00pm

Will people know I have been?

The law guarantees your confidentiality. Your Charter clinic records cannot be shown to your doctor or insurance companies unless we have a signed request by you.

What does a sexual health screen cost?

A full sexual health screen costs €120

Review for results €25

Emergency Contraception Consultation €75 (this includes pill and is available from 9am-5pm Mon-Fri)
